Background
DieselGas was established specifically to implement the design and development of dual fuel technology for diesel engines. A team of skilled diesel engine fuel injection, combustion and electronics engineers based in New Zealand have progressively developed the technology more than 25 years.
Special relationships have been developed with major OEM’s such as Cummins and Caterpillar Inc USA resulting in DieselGas becoming a Certified Equipment Supplier of dual fuel kits. Auto accessories manufacturer Robert Bosch produced the DieselGas designed DGFlex dual fuel kits, launched in Brazil in June 2008 with Bosch factory warranty.
Dual Fuel gas engines
Dual fuel diesel engines have been used for generating
electricity for more than half a century. These engines
use diesel for pilot ignition and natural gas as the
main power source. The DieselGas dual fuel system allows
this same principle to be applied to a wider variety
of applications including automotive, industrial and
marine engines.
DieselGas Electronic "Dual fuel kits" for diesel engines with mechanical and electronic injection systems are widely accepted as leading edge technology. The use of self-diagnostics DGTech PC interface and the Internet communications allows DieselGas to easily service clients around the world.
Experience
The DieselGas team of specialist engineers who have converted:
| |
20 diesel engine models to dual fuel CNG/diesel operation. |
Many of these vehicles have completed
up to one million kilometres successful commercial operation.
This experience means
DieselGas offer well established and proven procedures
for carrying out successful conversion projects.
Personnel
The experience within the team of dedicated resident
and contract engineers ranges from bright young graduates
to those with more than 40 years experience in product
development. A good mix of specialist electronics, combustion
and automotive engineering disciplines gives a balanced
approach to developing successful gas engine products.
Electronic hardware and software development is undertaken
in-house.

Recognition
The product development skills within DieselGas have been recognised by the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology in New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise with technology and marketing assistance over more than 20 years.
Robert Bosch Brazil have produced the DieselGas inspired DGFlex dual fuel kits which are certified to ISO15500 standards and validated for Euro emissions requirements in Brazil.
Caterpillar Inc. USA commissioned DieselGas to develop a Dual Fuel system for their 3306 engine. Upon the successful completion of extensive factory and road testing a formal licence agreement was signed allowing Caterpillar manufacturing and sales rights and qualifying DieselGas as a certified Caterpillar Inc supplier. The product was endorsed with a full Caterpillar factory warranty.
Unique Technology
DieselGas brings together a unique group of skills, knowledge and experience as well as a unique Engine Management System and Technician Interface programme which in total is the "DieselGas Technology". When this Technology is implemented, by the DieselGas Team, Project Objectives are assured.
