of dedicated engine controllers for varying
applications. Modification, upgrading and
development are an ongoing maintenance programme.

for diesel engine control, dual fuel engine

The SGS Thompson microprocessor was developed for Bosch
as an automotive engine controller. They are used in
many leading European cars.
DieselGas chose the ST10 269 microprocessor for DieselGas
engine control applications because of its suitability
and flexability. The embedded software is written in
C language and runs to more than 15,000 lines. The algorithms
use 3 servos, up to eight tables and more than 400 settings.
The software is written to allow for expansion and modification.
The ST10 269 microprocessor allows the software to be
locked giving the ultimate security for this intellectual
property.
The engine management system includes the DGTech technician
interface programme that allows automatic fault detection
reducing the possibility of engine damage. Self diagnostics
and automatic fault logging allows for the identification
of any fault by automatically recording the engine operating
parameters at the time a fault occurs. The fault log
records the 20 seconds of engine operation prior to
a fault being logged. A graphing programme allows detailed
analysis of all parameters to identify the cause of
a fault. Diagnostic, statistical and substitution logs
can be recorded manually and analysed. The logs can
be easily sent electronically to the factory for analysis
and rapid diagnosis of problems or review of the engine
operating history.
Dual fuel & dedicated
The DieselGas controller was initially developed for
dual fuel engine control and is now available for dedicated
gas engine control. The next development is to use the
ST10 for genset applications.
Development for other
applications
The ST10 is also suitable for diesel engine control
and can be used to control an electronic governor on
diesel or dual fuel engines.
Applications
DieselGas controller are available as part of dual fuel
or dedicated gas kits or alone for other applications.
